MULTIPLAST IN 2003
The vast experience and knowledge of Max multihulls amassed by Gilles Ollier and Multiplast over 25 years is encapsulated in the design and technical performance of Orange 2.
SKIPPER BRUNO PEYRON’S CHOISES.
It was because of this experienced marriage of architect and the Multiplast organisation and also he’d used them for his previous two boals .That Bruno Peyron entrusted them with the commission to design and build the vessel he was to skipper Orange 2.
In fact there were four architects Gilles Ollier, Yann Penfornis, Franck Martin and Jack Michal. Together the four pooled their immense knowledge producing prototypes which held the promise of speed and performance.
The four men, under the direction of Gilles Ollier, divided the tasks according to their specialist fields.
Yann Penfornis – the hull.
Jack Michal – Above water bridge.
Frank Martin – Fluid and buoyancy calculations.
